In 1998, Jolie Crider passed away at the age of 14 after coming down with meningococcal meningitis. The following year, Jolie's close friends and the Columbus skating community launched a campaign to design and build a skatepark in her memory. Twenty years later, the skatepark was in need of an update.

As a member of the Crider 2.0 Committee, Jonathan Nesci invited Anna Mort to design memorial signage and a limited edition skate deck to commemorate Jolie and the new park.

Crider 2.0 was designed by Finnish skatepark designer Janne Sario and built by Hunger Skateparks, an Indiana company. The park's name is set in UltraBronzo, a typeface designed by Rick Valicenti in 1988.
